Monjur graduated with B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Islamic University Technology (IUT), Bangladesh and M.Sc. Degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering from Linköping University, Sweden. He started his career in 2010 after his graduation from IUT and worked in different organizations as like Nokia Siemens Networks, Ericsson and Banglalink. Monjur served as a telecommunication engineer in these organizations. Then he moved to Sweden in 2014 for higher study with Swedish Government scholarship (SI Scholarship). Monjur joined at Bangladesh Army International University of Science and Technology (BAIUST) as Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering department at 2016.

Monjur has been involved in developing the unit curriculum in Renewable Energy at BAIUST. His research interest includes industrial energy efficiency and renewable energy system.
